DR. GAVIN WEIR

Dr. Gavin Weir is the Owner and Founder of Method Athletics.  He has effectively treated and trained athletes at the high-school, collegiate, Olympic, and professional level including state, national, and world record holders within the USAPL and Olympic organizations.

 

Prior to opening the Method Athletics and Method Powergym facilities, Dr. Weir completed clinical clerkships in orthopedics, pediatrics, and sport rehabilitation while obtaining his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Washington University in St. Louis' School of Medicine.

In addition to acting as a sports performance consultant for physical therapists across the country, Gavin continues to teach seminars on strength, conditioning, and rehabilitation of athletic populations to doctoral students, physical therapists, strength coaches, and personal trainers within the Midwest.

BLAKE ANDERS

In addition to serving as Director of Remote Coaching for Method Athletics, Blake Anders is a Doctor of Physical Therapy candidate at Briar Cliff University and Clinic Coordinator for their Briar Cliff clinic. 

 

As a former intern with the EXOS organization, Blake led training and development sessions for NFL veterans as well as prospects of the 2017 draft.  During his involvement, he contributed to the development of over 80 drafted NFL athletes.

Blake is also a former Division I football player, completing his collegiate career as a defensive back for Ball State University.  His exceptional understanding of the demands of a high-level athlete from both sides of the coin serve him well as a strength coach.

DR. KACYEE HART

Dr. Kacyee Hart is the Director of Pitching Performance at Method Athletics.  Following a Division I collegiate softball career as a 4-year starting pitcher for Western Illinois' University, Kacyee received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Washington University in St. Louis' School of Medicine, the highest ranked physical therapy program in the country.

During her education, she completed clinical clerkships in orthopedics, neurology, and sports rehabilitation including experience at the acclaimed Champion Sports Medicine in Birmingham, AL.

Dr. Hart has also served as a pitching coach for several Lincoln-Way area travel teams since 2013.  Her unique experience as an athlete, clinician, and coach provides a unique and valuable perspective for her athletes.
